Apple App Store Screenshot Specifications

I am writing this after becoming frustrated with Apple’s rules for providing screenshots in different sizes when you want to release an app. It’s annoying because the physical iPhone sizes don’t match Apple’s requirement, for example, a screenshot taken on an iPhone Air, which has a screen size of 6.5 inch cannot be uploaded as a 6.5 inch screenshot WTF. I finally was able to submit my app to review after learning that these days it’s enough to upload screenshots for the biggest device size, which is an iPhone 17 Pro Max at the time of this writing, and Apple will resize them for all other device sizes. A nice tool which helps with this is App Mockup Studio. I am in no way involved with them, but it’s free to use and lets you create Appstore Screenshots like professionals. What’s amazing is that I took screenshots on my iPhone 17, which I then imported into an 17 Pro Max screen size, and it fitted perfectly.
